| Born and educated in Prague and later active in Paris after World War II, Vilem Kriz's early photography explored surrealistic themes. Ten years after immigrating to the U.S. he took up photography again, often photographing 'found' objects and surrealistic constructions he fashioned in his back yard in Berkeley, California. His work is held in a number of museum collections. |
