Craig Law established the Barrier Canyon Style Rock Art Project and has documented almost 400 prehistoric rock art sites in Utah, in an attempt to record these important archeological treasures before further degradation. The long-running project, first begun in 1992, received funding from the National Geographic Society and was featured in Smithsonian Magazine in 2005, illustrated with Law's photos. He is a professor Emeritus of Photography at Utah State University.
