Rebecca Zeiss

In Search of Forgiveness, October 2014

palladium/platinum print

image 5 x 16

Rebecca Zeiss work ranges from 14-foot elongated vertical panels printed dual sided on translucent Japanese Kozo paper to images printed on aluminum and many alternative process techniques.

The image work engages the viewer in a shared venerability and references the collective conscious. Her work is shown internationally and has been selected for exhibitions by jurors such as Bernice Steinbaum (gallery pioneer for women artists), Joy Hakanson Colby (eminent retired art critic for the Detroit News), and Deborah Willis (recent honored educator at the Society for Photographic Education).

Rebecca Zeiss, from Midland, Michigan, received her BFA from the University of Michigan and her MFA in photography from Central Michigan University. She teaches photography at the University of Michigan Flint. Her photographic work is frequently black-and-white large format and uses object images with a window into looking.
