| A long and wonderfully fulfilling career as a Wildland Hydrologist with the U.S. Forest Service kept me connected to the natural world in a unique way that science can provide. Over the years the camera was both a work and personal companion that I used for documentation and delight. Upon retirement I increased my time behind the lens until today I find that thoughts of photography - education, trips, composition, locations and a bit of technical data - fill most of my waking moments. -Deigh Bates |
