| New Mexico-based multi-media artist Holly Roberts uses the photograph as only a starting point in the production of her figurative canvases of human drama. Constructed through layers of photographs, paints and illustrations, her images articulate the complexities of identity and loss. Roberts received her B.A. from the University of New Mexico and her M.F.A. from Arizona State University. Her work is in major museum collections and has won her several awards, including two National Endowment of the Arts grants. |
