Geir Jordahl
Xihai Grand Canyon Viewpoint, Huangshan, China, 2012/2015
archival pigment print
Geir Jordahl's 30 years of dramatic black and white landscapes, shot with a specialized, wide-angle camera, are collected in Searching for True North (2007). In his more recent project called the Circle of Life series, Jordahl creates a hemispherical image, using an extreme wide-angle lens, achieving in the final print an almost magical effect of transporting the viewer into an alternate, dreamlike world. Jordahl's work is in major permanent collections in the U.S. and abroad. |
