An exhibiting photographer since the
early 1960s in Madison, Wisconsin, Paul Neevel came to Eugene in 1970
to study with Bernie Freemesser at the University of Oregon, and earned
degrees in journalism and fine arts. He has had solo shows at the
Photography at Oregon Gallery, Jacobs Gallery, Maude Kerns Art Center,
Robert Canaga Gallery, and Opus 6ix, among others, in Eugene. and also in Corvallis,
Portland, Carmel, Saskatoon, Madison, and Rochester. A member of the PAO
Committee since the 70s, he installed the monthly exhibits in the
Photography at Oregon Gallery at the UO Museum of Art. He currently maintains
the Photography at Oregon web site.
