Before and After

Pictures done in any medium—including photography—are not reality.  That’s a good thing.  It allows an artist to say what they want, in the way they want, about the reality they observe.  Capturing an experience in a photograph is portraying a piece of life; a memory, a mood, an emotion, a structure or pattern; a truth as I see it that I can share with others.
