Roseanne Olson

archival digital print

Rosanne Olson grew up in Eugene, Oregon and worked as a technician at Sacred Heart Hospital, but never let go of her childhood dream of becoming an artist. At age 23 she took a photography class from Charles Kogod at Maude Kerns Art Gallery and "from that very moment I was smitten by photography." Following graduate studies in journalism at the University of Oregon, Rosanne worked at the Register-Guard, where she had the good fortune to come under the mentorship of Brian Lanker. Involved in fine art and commercial photography for more than four decades, Olson calls portraiture her greatest love.
