Gene Tonry pursued large format black-and-white photography for many years. In the 1990s he began developing negatives with pyrogallol, a process favored by earlier photographers such as Edward Weston. Gene has studied with George Tice and fashion photohrapher Victor Steinhart, and is a long-time member of PhotoZone Gallery in Eugene.
