Being a self-employed fine furniture
builder, I took up photography to help me get out of the shop. I left
it for a few years and was reintroduced to photography in early
2000's by a pro photographer who had just gone digital. I
immediately fell in love with the control one had and so dived in whole
heartily. I retired 6 years ago and continue to search for the
beauty, juxtaposition, abstract that is to be found in nature. Though
landscapes are at the forefront of my quest, I have worked festivals
and the streets, but I'm getting a bit old to search all the hidden
back alleyways. I'm still looking for that ultimate image, but have
come to the realization that there is always one more to be sought out,
and that is certainly one of the beauties of photography.
