Tom Kirkendall and his wife Vicky Spring have been exploring the wonders of the outdoors all there lives and working as professional photographers recording it for half that time. Travels have taken them around the world in search of new images and unplanned adventures. Their landscape work has been widely published in calendars, magazines and books with Brown Trout, Impact, Sierra, Nature Conservancy, Backpacker and Mountaineers Books to name a few. Assignment work is excepted on a "must be fun" factor and has included summiting Mount Rainier in a spring snow storm, chasing the tale of Sasquatch through the snow covered forest of Washington and recently photographing Paul Jensen, builder of Hollow Wood Surfboards.
Tom's traditional black and white images have been widely shown in galleries throughout the North West and California. Photographing landscape images with everything from an 8x10 view camera to plastic Holga camera. Tom keeps a full time wet darkroom in his house where he processes and prints all his own work.
