An exhibiting photographer since the 1960s in Madison, Wisconsin, Paul Neevel moved to Eugene in 1970 to study with Bernie Freemesser. He has shown work locally at the Jacobs Gallery, Maude Kerns Art Center, UO Museum of Art, Robert Canaga Gallery, and Opus 6ix, among others, and also in Corvallis, Portland, Carmel, Saskatoon, Rochester, and other cities. He has been a member of the Photography at Oregon Committee since the mid-1970s, when he installed the monthly exhibits in the Photography at Oregon Gallery.
