| Photographer and publication designer George Beltran writes, "the beauty of a photograph evokes an intimate invitation for the viewer to get closer, to hold the image. I don't know that my pictures do this but it's something to strive for." Dorthea Lange, he continues, "once said, 'The closer for me.' She meant herself as photographer. I take the message as viewer as well. I take pictures and hope they invite the viewer to take part in this intimacy."
Beltran serves on the PAO board and is one of its original members. |
