Sunflower, n.d.

Not far from my home, a farmer planted over 500 acres of sunflower seeds this year. Because sunflowers are a rotational crop, sunflowers can only be planted every four to five years, so this was a special year for the sunflowers.
Sadly, this is the last year the farmer will grow the seeds, because he intends to sell this land for a housing development. I am, therefore, a witness to the passing of Nature. T. Ann Tolin |
