I have been photographing seriously since about 1984. I have worked in many photo related jobs since 1968 after attending Brooks Institute of Photography. Since 1980 I have been the proprietor of several photo lab businesses. I currently print for other photographers, amateur and professional. I have been a member of PhotoZone Gallery since 1992 and have exhibited there and in other galleries to include Umpqua Valley Arts Center, Umpqua Community College Gallery, Jacobs Gallery in Eugene, Emerald Art Center of Springfield and Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene. I am also a member of the Photo Arts Guild in Corvallis and the Emerald Arts Center in Springfield. I taught photography at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg and at Lane Community College in Eugene. I currently teach private photo darkroom classes My creative photographic interests have mostly followed the straight landscape in both black and white and color. The industry is in the midst of change with the emergence of digital techniques. My works now explore and use a mixture of these new technologies with the old. I strive to make the technology transparent. The end result is the image and it's impact on viewers regardless of how it is achieved.
