Fritz Liedtke

Fritz Liedtke has been photographing since he was a child when, at 13, with his father and their turquoise Datsun B210, he chronicled their travels across the United States. They covered 35 states in 31 days, washing suburban cars along the way to pay for their travels. With a fine arts degree from PNCA, Fritz works as a professional photographer, teacher, and artist. He has won awards from Tamron/Bronica, Photographer's Forum/Nikon, and Caldera, among others. His work has been published most recently in LensWork magazine; the book Creative Vision by Jeremy Webb; Somerset Studio Magazine; and in the Friends of Friends Photography Auction Catalog in New York. In June of 2005 he traveled to India to document medical relief and rebuilding efforts along the southern coast, hit by the December 2004 tsunami. He is currently working on a documentary project on eating disorders.Fritz lives in Portland with his wife and 100-year old house, which he is constantly remodeling.
