"I am mostly preoccupied with the melancholy of the
vanished past," says Rich Bergeman, who makes
platinum/palladium prints from his large format (8x10 and
5x7) negatives.The Oregon Historical Society Museum included
his hand-coated palladium photos in a show that also
included excerpts from the 1845 journals of Frontiersman
James Clyman. Bergeman teaches journalism and photography at
Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon.
